White House to Host Conference in September on FoodIn September 2022, date TBD, the White House will host a Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health. Richard Nixon held the first White House Conference on Food, Nutrition and Health in 1969, which was a decisive event has shaped food policy over the past 50 years. The goal of this year’s Conference is to drive change to end hunger, improve nutrition and physical activity, reduce diet-related disease; improve food access and affordability; and to launch a national plan to achieve the goal.
